Wherever cam operated Limit Switches might be used, a Unimax Hinge or Link Actuated Switch will provide a neat and more reliable solution. The Hinge switch is for safeguarding personnel against hazards contained within a perimeter fence, but may also be used at loading stations. The Link-Switch is for safeguarding hinged panels and loading stations and can be fitting inside equipment. These types do not secure the guard and are not suitable for removable covers. GW Safety Position Switch systems consist of two basic elements: 1. A tamper-resistent enclosure permanently fixed to the inside of the machine or at the guard of the hazardous area. 2. A specially-developed, Positive Action Switch secured to the body of the actuator GW8 The switches and shaft are mounted on a flexible platform inside the enclosure for installations where the guard hinge may not be properly aligned with the fixing surface. This model is not sealed where the shaft enters the Polycarbonate or metal enclosure GW81 The selected fail-safe switches are actuated by a stainless steel shaft which is bored and cross-drilled ready for mounting to an extended hinge pin. It can be rotated through 360 degrees and adjusted to switch within 2 degrees of movement either way. The whole is sealed to IP65 Standard to prevent ingress of water, oil, or dust irrespective of mounting postion. This model is always supplied with a die-cast aluminium enclosure. GW9 Supplied complete with plated steel short link arm size and door bracket available in a Polycarbonate or Metal enclosure. The crankshaft has a patented vernier adjustment which ensures that switching can occur within 1 deegree of movement.
