SwissRanger? SR4000 Overview Cameras of the the SR4000 platform are optical imaging systems that provide real time distance data at QCIF (176 h x 144 v) video frame rates. Representing the 4th generation of time-of-flight cameras designed by MESA, they provide stable distance information in a robust, reliable hardware package measuring 65 x 65 x 68mm (USB version). Feedback from our customers’ use of hundreds of beta SR4000 cameras has been incorporated into the final release configuration, further extending its market leading performance. Main Characteristics Industrial grade camera, allowing for high quality measurements in demanding environments. This is reached through our solid-state camera design and our in house extensive calibration. It results in a camera that is particularly suited for industrial applications where high reliability is key. IP rate: IP40. CE certified: illumination class 1, EMC class A Stable measurements over lifetime are guaranteed through self calibrating optical design. Measurements are independent of object color and reflectivity Stable measurement accuracy and repeatability is reached even under varying reflectivites and colors of measured targets. Two measurement ranges are available, 5m and 10m allowing for more flexibility when compromising measurement range with measurement precision. Simultaneous multi-camera measurements possible through access to multiple illumination frequencies (up to 3 cameras). In-pixel background light suppression allows for higher measurement accuracy, even at unfavorable background light conditions. Selectable acquisition mode allows for continuous or triggered measurement. Trigger mode allows for synchronization with other devices.
