Sirah's Matisse lasers are now available with a fibre coupled reference cell . The cell has a smaller footprint than the previous free-air design. It requires less table space and the cell can be placed more freely with respect to the laser. Also, the finesse of the cavity optics are now better matched to the laser and control loop characteristics. Furthermore, the bandwidth of the "tweeter" piezo is increased. The bandwidth determines how fast the control electronic can compensate deviations of the laser frequency. So, higher bandwidth means less laser linewidth. On top of that, Sirah introduces a new release of the control box firmware that supports faster control action and active compensation of the etalon dither. The effort pays off in an improved linewidth of the Matisse system, which is now specified to be 75 kHz for the actively stabilized Titanium:Sapphire model. [Actively controlled Titanium:Sapphire laser: Matisse TS, datasheet..] [Actively controlled dye laser: Matisse DS, datasheet..] EagleEye Optical Spectrum Analyser The EagleEye optical spectrum analyser (OSA) is a compact unit for measuring the spectral characteristics of cw lasers. The EagleEye, like any other conventional OSA device, can analyse a laser spectrum by scanning the cavity. The resolution of this method is limited by the cavity finesse, which is in the order of some megahertz. The EagleEye can surpass this limitation by using its unique lock, loose, and look procedure. This approach achieves a much higher spectral resolution. This technique enables the EagleEye to measure laser linewidth down to 20 kHz. [details..] Introducing: The Credo The Credo is Sirah's radical new design for high repetition rate pulsed dye lasers. The compact system is perfectly matched to DPSS pump lasers with high repetition rate and low or moderate pulse energy. All the Credo's components, such as resonator, dye cells, amplifier, circulation system have been thoroughly designed with the goal to built an easy to use, efficient laser system. The result is laser system that achieves an unpreceded output well above 10 Watt . With the built in frequency doubler a stunning power of 1.5 Watt in the uv are achieved. [more details...]
